Community is a dynamic, fluid term whose meaning has evolved over time. When I refer to community, I refer to those groups of people that I interact with, both physically and in a virtual environment, I am also finding that these two worlds are converging over time.

As a member of a number of communities I believe it is important to contribute to them and not just take. It is for this reason and also to contribute to my personal growth that I am an active community member. I mentor university students, support various charities and also sit on the executive board of ACON.

ACON is Australia’s largest community-based gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) health and HIV/AIDS organisation. ACON promotes the health and wellbeing of the GLBT community and people with HIV.
