I am sure you are familiar with vision statements - many organisations, small and large, have them, you may have also heard of positioning statements and mission statements, they each have their place in the corporate context.

I ask you to think about your initial reaction to having a personal vision statement, was it positive, neutral or negative and in every case why?

For many people that I speak with, the thought of having a Personal Vision Statement or Mission Statement seems like an unusual concept.

It might help you understand why I maintain a personal vision statement and refine it each year. The answer is simple. It is a way for me to publically state what my goals and vision for my year, my life are. The Vision Statement helps me keep focused on the end goal when the going is a bit rough. This isn’t to say I don’t have low days (and high days) but it helps keeps me focused on where I am heading.

I choose to make my vision statement public. You don’t need to, but once you have a vision statement look at it regularly, refine it when needed, and work towards your goals. I am happy to help you create your vision statement,
contact me and we can work towards it together.
